1. What time can we arrive ?
Guests may check-in to Mill Park anytime between 13:00 and 21:00, where they will be greeted warmly and allocated their camping pitch for the duration of their stay.
If you think you may arrive before 13:00 or after 21:00 on the day of your arrival, please contact Reception on 01271 882647.
Guests arriving after 21:00 will not be permitted access to their allocated pitch, until the following morning.
Guests with Motorhomes or Caravans that arrive after 21:00 may be permitted onsite, where they will be temporarily located in either the main carpark or the Late Arrival Bays for the night.
We do not have overnight facilities for Guests arriving without a Caravan, or a Motorhome, after 21:00.

2. What time do we leave our pitch on Departure Day ?
A Standard Departure time is 10am on the day of your Departure.
If you require a later departure please enquire with the Office or Reception, where Guests may be able to book a Late Departure up until midday (12:00) for a small extra charge.
If you wish to leave Mill Park after 12:00 please enquire with Reception or the Office. Subject to availability we may have some chargeable spaces in the Car Park, where you may vacate your pitch and leave your equipment (Caravan, Motorhome or Trailer) in the Car Park, so that you can enjoy the local area and then depart at a later time on your Departure Day.

3. Can I request a specific camping pitch?
Yes you can. However please note that pitches are allocated to Guests on the day of a Guests arrival. This is to cater for existing Guests extending their stay, or pitches needing to be rested if they have suffered damage.
In rare circumstances, Guests that have requested a specific pitch may not be allocated their first choice, where they will instead be allocated an alternative pitch. This occurs where issues arising mean that we were not able to allocate the requested pitch for the period requested by the Guest.

4. Can I bring a trailer?
Yes you can. Trailers are a chargeable extra and once unloaded are to be stored in one of the Mill Park Car Parks, and specifically not stored on the camping pitches.

5. Can I bring my commercial vehicle?
Sorry no, Mill Park is not able to accommodate commercial or sign written vehicles during our open season.

6. Can I charge my electric vehicle at Mill Park.
Yes you can. Guests staying overnight at Mill Park may charge their Electric Vehicles at the EV Charging bays near Reception. (30Amp using a Type 2 connector).

7. How big are your Pitches ?
Pitches are Mill Park vary in shape and size, as a general rule of thumb our camping pitches are roughly 10m wide and 12m deep.
Guests camping equipment must be setup in accordance with the Fire Spacing.
The maximum size of Tent permitted on a standard Camping Pitch is 8m x 4m.
1 Vehicle is permitted to be parked on each pitch, any extra vehicles or trailers must be located in the Car Parks.

8. Can we make a Group Booking?
Yes you can. For group bookings of over 10 pitches please contact Reception for special rates. It is possible to book an entire field, or part of a field, for your group booking - These are available for Groups requiring; 16, 50 or 60 pitches.
For Group Bookings (of less than 10 pitches) we allocate the pitches in pairs together. We do not usually site groups of 3+ pitches together.

9. Are there bus stops close to Mill Park ?
Yes, there are two bus stops located on the A399 the end of Bottom Field that serve Mill Park. The bus route is operated by a local bus company called Filers Travel and the bus route is the 301. The 301 route operates between Coombe Martin and Barnstaple, going via Berrynarbor, Hele Bay, Ilfracombe and Muddiford. The Reception/Shop has printed timetables covering the 301 routes that Guests are welcome to take. Alterntively clicking on the link below shows the timetable covering the 301 route

10. Does Mill Park have recycling facilities?
Yes - The refuse and recycling centre is located by the Main Entrance to the Park with recycling bins for Plastics, Paper, Cardboard, Glass, Aluminium as well as general refuse bins.

11. Can we have supermarket deliveries at Mill Park?
No - We do not allow supermarket deliveries at Mill Park. There is an onsite shop, another local shop in the village of Berrynarbor a short walk away, and all the major Supermarkets located in the surrounding towns a short drive away.

12. Is there Internet at Mill Park?
Yes there is complimentary Wifi powered by BT Superfast Fibre that extends to the Bent Peg Bar/Family Room and Games Room the covereg also exteneds around the main amenity building. There is great 4G & 3G coverage on all mobile networks around the rest of the park.

13. Directions for getting to Mill Park
Leave the M5 at Junction 27 taking the A361, stay on the A361 passing through Barnstaple and entering Ilfracombe where the A361 merges into the A399. Leave Ilfracombe on the A399 towards Coombe Martin. After 3 miles, you will pass the Sawmills pub on your left, turn immediately right into Mill Lane, signposted Berrynarbor. The entrance to Mill Park is located 200 meters up Mill Lane on the left-hand side.
Please note: There are shorter and more picturesque routes to Mill Park from the M5 using more rural roads, however we would recommend using the route describe above during peak times or if visiting guests are not familiar with the roads.

14. Can I empty my toilet cassette onsite ?
Chemical Waste Points - Please check the labels on your toilet cassette chemical bottles to see if they are Septic Tank friendly.
If you are using chemicals that are NOT Septic Tank friendly, please dispose of your toilet cassette waste only using the Chemical Waste disposal point located by the Glampods on Lakefield.
If you are using Septic Tank Friendly chemicals, you can use any of the three disposal points we have on Mill Park.
We do sell Septic Tank Friendly cassette chemicals in the park shop.

15. Can we use fires and BBQ's onsite ?
Guests are welcome to use Gas or Charcoal BBQ's, however the burning of wood (including camping logs) on BBQ's, fire pits, chiminea's and the like are not permitted onsite.

16. How many people can we have on a pitch ?
Guests are permitted to have a maximum of 6 people and 2 dogs on a single pitch.

17. Can we bring our dogs ?
Yes - we love dogs at Mill Park and have plenty of drinking water, tie posts, snacks and toys available for your dogs. There is a charge per dog/day of your stay. You may have upto a maximum of 2 dogs per pitch. Dogs must be kept under control and on leads at all times around the park. Mill Park has a large dog exercise field onsite where you can let your dog off the lead. Dogs are welcome in the Bent Peg Bar. Please do not take your dog into the Toilets/Showers or Shop.

18. What can I erect on my pitch ?
Guests are permitted to have 1 sleeping unit per pitch, for example any one of the following; a Tent, Caravan & Awning or Motorhome & Awning. Awnings must be physically attached to the Motorhome or Caravan. Separate Tents can't be used as Awnings to Motorhomes or Caravans. Guests are welcome to erect wind breaks. Gazebos, toilet tents and pup tents are a chargeable extras but they must not be used for sleeping in.

19. Can I bring extra vehicles ?
One motor vehicle is included within a Guests pitch fee, this includes motorhomes. Extra vehicles, including towed vehicles behind motor homes, are chargeable extras. 1 motor vehicle may be parked on a single pitch, all extra vehicles must be parked in the car parks around site.

20. What is the 10pm Quiet Time ?
Mill Park operates a Quiet Time on the Camping Fields (Top, Lake and Bottom) from 10pm onwards. The Children’s play areas and Games Rooms are closed from Sundown or 9.30pm - whichever is the earlier. Children should be accompanied by their parents, or be on their pitches from 10pm. Guests entertaining on their pitches are requested to turn off any music and televisions during Quiet Time to ensure that noise does not disturb neighbouring Guests. The use of electric air pumps is not permitted during the Quiet Time. If Guests are wanting to continue their festivities after 10pm at night they are advised to do so within the Bent Peg Bar located onsite. Quiet Time does not mean absolute silence, it means ensuring that a Guests activities occurring on their pitches after 10pm do not cause disturbance or annoyance to other Guests.

21. Are there many Beaches near Mill Park
Yes, loads of beaches are located close to Mill Park. There are several local beaches within walking distance that are both dog friendly and dog excluded. Mill Park also benefits from having some of the UK's best beaches just a short drive away, with Woolacombe, Saunton Sands, Puttsborough and Croyde very close at hand. Check with Reception when you are onsite for a list of the local beaches and suitability for dogs or look at our Beaches section of this website under the Local Info.
Broadsands beach is the closest beach to Mill Park which was voted "Britain's Happiest View" in 2018, with two more beaches located at Coombe Martin and another at Hele Bay.

22. Can I use a Generator onsite ?
Mill Park does not allow the use of generators onsite.

23. Can I use a Footprint or Groundsheets under my Tent/Awning?
When Camping on grass pitches, plastic sheeting or taurpaulin is not permitted to be used.
Tents/Awnings/Gazebo's without Sewn in Groundsheets (No SIG's) - You may use a Breathable Caravan Carpet or Breathable Footprint in your tent, awning or gazebo with no extra charge.
Tents/Awnings/Gazebo's with Sewn in Groundsheets (With SIG's) - The use of tent footprints, tarpaulin or plastic sheeting is not permitted on Grass Pitches. Anyone found using one agrees to pay a charge of £10 per night.

24. Can I put up a Gazebo ?
Gazebo's without sides and Gazebo's with sides can both be used on pitches at Mill Park (they are priced differently). Gazebo's erected on pitches must be done within the Fire Spacing Guidelines. If a Guests Gazebo does not conform with the Fire Guidelines they will be requested to remove it. Breathable Caravan Carpets can be used within Gazebo's free of charge, clip in or other groundsheets are chargeable extras. The use of tarpaulin or plastic sheeting is not permitted under any circumstances.

25. What is Fire Spacing ?
Fire Spacing is governed by the North Devon Council and the Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service. Guests should ensure they pitch their camping equipment upon their pitch in such a maner that ensures there is at least 3m between their sleeping unit and their neighbour's sleeping units. Generally speaking if guests ensure their sleeping units are positioned at least 1.5m away from the boundary of their pitch they will be compliant. The use of open wood flames or the buring of wood is not allowed anywhere on Mill Park. The 3m Fire space between sleeping units should be kept clear of all other camping equipment, including Gazebo's, Pup Tents, Toilet tents etc.

26. What items do you have available for Hire ?
At Mill Park you can Hire the following items from Reception;
Electrical Cables (16amp), Ice Blocks, BBQ Stands, Fishing whip poles and landing nets.
All items require a cash deposit; being £30 per item for the Electrical Cables, BBQ Stands, Fishing whip poles and landing nets, with Ice blocks having a £5 deposit per block. Deposits are refunded upon return of the hired item in good condition.
All items have a daily rental fee of £1 per item, except Ice blocks which are 50p per block per day.

27. Are there Laundry facilities onsite
At Mill Park you have access to coin operated Washing machines and Tumble dryers located within the Laundry in the Main Amenity building. The Washing machines have 9.5kg drum capacities with the Tumble dryers having 9kg drum capacities.
Prices for using the equipment are;
Eco Wash - £4.50 for a 35 minute washing cycle (includes detergent and conditioner).
Super Wash - £5.00 for a 45 minute washing cycle (includes detergent and conditioner).
Super Wash Plus - £5.50 for a 50 minute washing cycle (includes detergent and conditioner).
All Cycles have selectable temperature ranges between 30 and 60
The Tumble Dryers cost £3 per drying cycle, which runs for 30 minutes, which can be extended by £1 per additional 10 minutes.
